About the Belarusian Light Industry Concern “Bellegprom”

The Concern is building conditions for effective work of the companies producing light industry goods to meet the consumer needs by improving the quality and competitiveness of goods.

The Concern’s  mission is to maintain the sustainable development of light industry and to create the leading brands of domestic goods of light industry and to promote them on domestic and foreign markets.

“Bellegprom” includes textile, weaving, fabric making, leather, footwear, fur and porcelain – china manufactures. It consists of 109 companies of different ownership & line of production & employs about 60 thousand specialists.  

There are 94 industrial enterprises and such well-known brands as “Milavitsa”, “Kupalinka”, “Polesie”, “Elema”,“Belwest”,“Marco”,“Galanteya”,“Vitebskiye Kovry”.

Bellegprom also includes the Center for Research of Light Industry, the Service of Institutional Control, the Trade Company “Legprom”, other trade companies, Minsk State College of Technology and Design for Light Industry, Baranovichi State College of Light Industry.

The share of the Group is 70 % of the country's output of light industry and 20  % of the total domestic industrial production.

The Concern was founded in 1992 after the Ministry of Light Industry of the Republic of Belarus and subordinates to the Government of the Republic of Belarus.
